Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Is Getting a Sequel

First off, here’s some news pretty much everyone can get behind: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse—the funny, fast-paced, hyper-color animated film that made everyone love Miles Morales as New York’s new web-slinger—is getting a sequel. Not much else is known, but a teaser posted on Twitter claims the film will hit theaters April 8, 2022. If that seems like too long to wait, just remember: Somewhere in the multiverse this movie already exists. Probably.

Terminator: Dark Fate Met a Bad End at the Box Office

Welp, this is disappointing. Despite being the best Terminator film in years, Terminator: Dark Fate met a bad end at the box office this weekend, bringing in just $27 million. Hopefully the franchise will be back to try again soon.

Avatar Is Coming to Disney+

Need another reason to get Disney+? Here’s one: Avatar will be available on the service when it launches on November 12. Disney, which nabbed James Cameron’s film in its $71.3 billion acquisition of 21st Century Fox, has scheduled a series of Avatar sequels to hit theaters in 2021, 2023, 2025, and 2027.
