Black Friday 2019: The Best TV & Home Theater Deals Online

There are a lot of deep discounts during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but it’s a particularly great shopping holiday if you’re looking for a new TV. Not only are newer models seeing their first real discounts, but what’s left of last year’s stock gets big price cuts. And even if you’re not after a new TV to finish out this season of The Mandolorian, there are plenty of other great deals on home theater devices that might offer you some visual or sonic upgrades—or make a nice gift this Holiday season.

Note: We will update this post through the weekend with new deals. If an item is no longer at its deal price or sold out, we cross it out. Deal prices sometimes return and items come back in stock faster than we can update, so it never hurts to check for yourself.

Updated November 28: We added a 65-inch Vizio P-Series Quantum deal to the list.

Samsung 55-Inch Q60 Series TV (2019) for $698 ($500 off)

Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart

Samsung’s quantum dot-enabled QLED TVs have been some of the prettiest on the market for years now, and this high-end model gets a big discount, bringing the technology in the realm of possibility for many of us. It’s also got a 120 Hz refresh rate, which makes it great for gaming and sports.

Vizio 55-Inch M-Series Quantum 4K TV for $480 ($120 off)

Amazon, Best Buy

This Vizio Smart TV comes with Chromecast and Apple Airplay built-in, which makes it extremely easy to share photos, music, or stream video from your smartphone. It’s also a very pretty TV, with much of the same tech as its more expensive older sibling, the P-Series (8/10 WIRED Recommends)

LG 55-inch B9 OLED for $1,197 ($100 off)

Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart

OLED TVs look better than any other because every pixel acts as its own backlight, which creates insane black levels and outstanding contrast. LG owns the OLED market and the B9 is its most affordable OLED model. The price doesn’t really get better than this. Read our full writeup on this deal.

55-Inch Sony A8G OLED for $1,500 ($400 off)

Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart

If you’re looking for the best possible picture, and you’re willing to pay for it, Sony’s OLED models (which also use LG OLED displays) are some of the most beautiful you’ll find. Each pixel in the TV acts as its own backlight, making black levels as dark as they come, and colors pop on screen.

Toshiba 50-Inch 4K Smart TV $270 ($110 off)

Amazon, Best Buy

This 50-inch Toshiba TV isn’t as nice as the other models on this list, but it does the job. It has Amazon’s Fire TV ecosystem built-in, which makes it a great way to stream all of your favorite shows, movies, and YouTube tutorials. Plus, an Alexa-enabled voice remote makes finding your favorite movie easier than ever: Just ask.

Vizio 65-Inch P-Series Quantum for $879 ($519 off)

Walmart

We loved Vizio’s P-Series when we reviewed it earlier this year (8/10, WIRED Recommends), and to get a 65-inch TV this great for under $1,000—that’s a great deal. The P-Series has local dimming, beautiful color, and just about everything else you’d want in a high-end TV.

Streaming Deals

Roku Ultra (2019) for $48 ($50 off)

Amazon, Walmart

Roku’s flagship streaming device offers great picture quality (with 4K and HDR10), and has a quad-core processor that makes it one of the fastest around. It even comes with earbuds that you can plug into the remote, for silent viewing during your kids’ naptime.

Roku Streaming Stick Plus for $29 ($21 off)

Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart

The Roku Streaming Stick Plus has 4K and HDR functionality, and it’s nearly half price this holiday weekend. We also have a guide to picking the right Roku. These devices are pretty handy to have, but be wary of the channels you use!

Fire TV Stick 4K With Alexa for $25 ($25 off)

Amazon

This Alexa-enabled streaming stick makes finding your favorite content as easy as asking a voice assistant, and 4K resolution and Dolby Vision support means you’ll get the best picture that streaming services offer. It is best for those who use Amazon Prime Video a lot, though it does have the other major streaming apps.

Fire TV Cube (2019) for $90 ($30 off)

Amazon

The Fire TV Cube has better voice access than the standard Fire TV. Amazon wants it to be an Alexa-enabled brain for your entire home theater system. It can change inputs, find shows, and even tell you the weather, all using simple voice commands. On the other hand, that voice control is not perfect yet. And with 4K and HDR support, it looks pretty great, too. It gets down to $90 every 3-6 months.

Google Chromecast Ultra for $49 ($20 off)

Walmart, Best Buy

If you like to stream things from your phone, we love Google’s Chromecast device, which lets you easily send whatever you’re watching to the big screen. This 4K-ready model is our favorite Chromecast, with support for HDR and all our favorite streaming apps.

Samsung Ultra HD Blu-Ray Player for $150 ($150 off)

Best Buy

If you want to watch your favorite content in the highest possible quality, you still need a disc. Ultra-HD Blu-Ray movies have much better bit rates and encoding than their streaming counterparts, and you’ll get the most out of them with this Samsung player. Want to stream a movie you don’t own on disc? This thing has Wi-Fi, so you can use it for that, too.

Mohu ReLeaf Indoor TV Antenna for $25 ($13 off)

Amazon

Looking to take advantage of the free HD signal that’s passing through your home? Snag this Mohu ReLeaf. It works great, and is made of recycled materials. You just stick it on your window or near a window that aims toward your local TV stations.
